Welcome to the Steve Page

This page highlights the off-stage activities of one of the Slow Kids.

This is where I go to get away from it all. It's a little lake in Idaho.  It's out of the way by a long way, but that's it's charm.  We used to have a resort, but it closed down because we're too far away from anything to make money. It's about as close to the middle of nowhere as you can get without having to call the rescue squad.

Here I am trying out a wake board on my favorite lake. I'm sure this was taken about a nanosecond before I stacked up.  I'm a beginner, but I got guts.  At least I did before they got flushed out in a bizarre wake board accident that left my life vest on backwards and me spinning in the water like a beetle being flushed down the toilet.

Well that was last year. Now I'm stacking up even bigger. I'm trying to do tricks...Clever things like power-ramming gallons of lake water into my eye sockets. FUN!!!

Aside from that, I also launch HIGH into the air to see if landing can rip my trunks off. No luck so far, but I keep trying.

Here's the view of the campsite from up the road a piece. (To coin a Beverly Hillbillies aphorism.)

We've done some work to the place since this was taken. I finally finished my outhouse. That sure makes things easier.

And this is where the happy campers bed down for their tortured slumber.  The noise of frogs and crickets sound great on TV, but there they only last a few seconds. In real life they are the fuel for every bizarre nightmare you ever pinched your way out of. It's amazing how much frogs and crickets sound like aliens sucking out your brains.

And what campsite would be complete without the all-important "facilities?" I built it myself...from below the ground up.

It's my potty and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, cry if I want to...you would cry to with no place to go poo!

Steve and LOKI the Mail Pup worked hard all day long. Now, it's nappy time.

Here, LOKI the Mail Pup is learning the equipment necessary for a water route. He wants to be proficient in all aspects of his job.

LOKI the Mail Pup decides that maybe a water route isn't the best idea. After all, there's probably a black lab out there that would LOVE the job.

Please, Don't start the boat!!!

These are three of my favorite people. Oh, wait...one of them is me. The other two are charter members of the SPF foundation. In fact, all the lights in this room are off. The light for this picture was actually generated by our skin!

Other fun activities are track & field. I have two choices run in it or film it. Hey, there's me with the camera now!!

If I'm not at the lake, on the track or on stage, here's where I'd want to be. Actually, the only reason I go to the lake is because that's where the snow went when it melted....Boy was I mad!

After a run, but before the dental work. Modern technology...Wow!
